Delete your Zaki account and your data
Version 1.0 · Effective 8 September 2026
This page is about Zaki, the app published by Moshe Zaudi on the App Store and
Google Play.
1. In the app, in about ten seconds
Open Zaki and go to Settings → Delete your account. Confirm, and it is done immediately. You do not need to write to anyone and you do not need to wait.
2. If you cannot get into the app
If you have deleted the app, changed phone, or cannot sign in, write to [email protected] and ask us to delete your account. You do not have to reinstall anything.
Send it from the email address you signed in with, or tell us which sign-in you used, Apple or Google. We may ask one question to be sure the account is yours, because deleting the wrong person's videos is not a mistake that can be undone. We complete the deletion within 30 days and in practice within a few days, and we write back when it is done.
3. Do these two things first
Neither is required. Both are hard to fix afterwards.
- Cancel your subscription. Deleting your Zaki account does not cancel it, because only the store can do that. Cancel at Settings → your name → Subscriptions on an iPhone, or Google Play → Payments and subscriptions on Android. If you delete the account and leave the subscription running, the store keeps charging you for a service you no longer have.
- Take a copy of what you want to keep. Settings → Export your data gives you one file containing your profile, your credit history, every job including the words you wrote, and links to all your videos. The video links work for 24 hours, so download them.
4. What gets deleted
All of this goes immediately, and it cannot be recovered:
- your account and the email address behind it;
- every video you made, and its thumbnail;
- every photograph you uploaded that has not already expired;
- every prompt you wrote, in your language and in English;
- your job history, your screening records and any report you sent;
- your credit balance, including top-up credits, which are lost and are not refunded;
- your notification token and your language settings.
5. What is kept, and why
Two records survive, and the link from each of them to you is severed at the moment you delete, so neither can be connected back to your account afterwards.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your credit and payment ledger, without your account identifier | Accounting and tax records, which we are obliged to keep. Article 17(3)(b) of the GDPR permits exactly this |
| The one-way hash of the device that claimed a free video, without your account identifier | So that deleting an account and making a new one is not a way to claim a free video every day. The hash cannot be reversed into a device identifier |
Crash reports and usage data, if you left those switches on, sit with our analytics provider under the retention configured for our project. They carry your account identifier only, never your name or your email address. Ask us at [email protected] and we will delete those too.
Everything above is set out in more detail in the Privacy Policy, sections 8 and 9.
6. Deleting one video instead
You do not have to delete your account to get rid of something. Any video can be deleted on its own from inside the app, and the file goes from our storage with it.
